Remembering September 11th: We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸
As we remember September 11, 2001, my thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
Nearly 3,000 lives were lost, and countless families were changed forever. More than two decades later, it remains a day that none of us who lived through it will ever forget.
I am especially grateful for the incredible courage of the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to escape. Their bravery and sacrifice represent the very best of our country.
I also want to recognize our military members and veterans—the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, to protect the freedoms and way of life that we sometimes take for granted.
September 11th reminds me that despite our differences, we are Americans first. In the days following the attacks, our country came together in a way I will never forget. We supported our neighbors, flew our flags proudly, and reminded the world of the strength and resilience of the American people.
Today, I simply want to say thank you to our first responders, our active-duty military, and our veterans.
And to every family who lost someone on September 11th: we remember with you.
We will never forget.
